Green opacity button. This Green CSS button uses a PNG image for a change. Browser compatibility for .png files has become friendlier over the last few years. Pngs are great as the transparency effect works effortlessly. A gif can look blocky and clumsy when sat on top of another image where as a .png will retain the feathered edges and max colours as when you designed it in Photoshop etc. I have displayed the button on three different coloured backgrounds to show the versatility of the transparent effect in png mode.
Green Description Menu. This vertical menu shows that a hyperlink can contain as much or as little information as you like. This idea could be expanded to show key points or areas of interest on your website.
Diagonal Horizontal Green Menu. This horizontal menu took quite a few hours to perfect but hopefully, the result is quite effective. The only way to create this effect (and I tried all of them)was to change the width, background-image and z-index apon the hover state. If there are any other ways of acheiving this effect with CSS please let me know.
Horizontal Gold Menu. This technique of producing a horizontal gold menu shows that it is not always necessary to use an unordered list. Here we have used one DIV tag and a few SPAN tags to position the menu correctly.
